Tour de Fat

Tour de Fat is the biggest, craziest and most fabulous party in the DC region celebrating bicycling and good times. Tour de Fat is a free bicycle festival that raises support for WABA and other bicycle advocacy focused non-profits in the region. The festival is hosted and sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Company.

The 2015 Tour de Fat will be held on Saturday, May 30th at Yards Park. Yipppeeeee! Each year, the festival kicks off with a big bicycle parade-style ride around the festival grounds and Capitol Hill neighborhoods, returning to Yards Park for the tapping of the kegs. Crazy, funky, stupendous costumes and dress are highly recommended. And don’t forget to bring your ID if you plan on enjoying New Belgium brews.

This year’s show will include performances by Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires and Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds. We’re pretty stoked. Here’s Charles Bradley performing in a bike shop!

Each year, the Tour de Fat features free entertainment and an awesome headliner, wacky bicycle games and activities, bike themed contests, and of course tons of beer.
