Maryland "Share the Road" License Plates

Part of the mission of WABA is to promote safe cycling. Another is to share our enthusiasm about all things bicycling. As a small means of achieving these goals we are proud to promote the "Share the Road" license plates for those of you who also use other modes of personal transportation (i.e. car, minivan or SUV).

Maryland residents (who are WABA members) are able to obtain State of Maryland organizational license plates that will demonstrate their support for safe cycling and remind other drivers to share the road with cyclists. These are official State-issued plates that replace the current plates you have on your car. Not a WABA member? Join WABA at the discounted rate of $25 to qualify for the plates.

A. None of the $25 fee goes to WABA. Some organizations charge a premium to get the plates and pocket the difference. WABA wants to get the "Share the Road" message out to the public. However, we would never turn down any additional contribution you would wish to make. Donate now or contact WABA at 202.518.0524 for more information on making a donation.

Q. What if I have more questions?
